Why We Do This: A Personal Story from Attorney John Kelly
When I was in third grade, my mother was a victim of medical malpractice. She went to the hospital with early signs of a heart attack, but because she was in her 30s, they sent her home without running any tests. That night she had a massive heart attack, and within a year, a second one and a stroke. All of it was preventable if the doctors had taken the time to treat her. My brothers and I worked over 40 hours a week through high school to provide for our disabled mother.
Those doctors didn't mean to harm her, but they still deserved to be held accountable. Honest mistakes have life-altering consequences too, and holding people responsible is part of what keeps everyone safer.
This is why I do what I do. Every client is like my mother, and every one of them deserves the best I can give.
