Premises Liability
Hurt on someone else's property? You may have a claim.
Premises liability, often called slip and fall, comes down to whether a property owner's negligence caused your injury. If an unsafe condition on someone else's property hurt you, we can help you find out whether you have a case. When you call, you'll speak with an attorney.
What Is Premises Liability?
Premises liability, often called slip and fall, is the law covering who is responsible when someone is injured on another person's property. Owners are expected to keep their property reasonably safe for the people they know will come onto it, whether that's a store, a workplace, or another business. When an unsafe condition causes an injury, the question is whether the owner was negligent.
When Is a Property Owner Responsible?
Not every injury on someone's property is the owner's fault. What matters is whether the owner created an unsafe condition, or knew (or should have known) about it and failed to fix it or warn people. A puddle left unmarked, a broken step, poor lighting, or inadequate security can all point to negligence.
What We Look At
We investigate what caused the hazard, whether the owner knew about it, and whether they had a reasonable chance to address it. That's how we determine whether you have a claim and who's responsible.
